Can we run separate campaigns for Zakat and Sadaqah?
Yes. You can create separate, clearly named campaigns so donors can select the giving intention that is right for them, and so your team can report and allocate each campaign separately. Your mosque remains responsible for ensuring each campaign's wording and use of funds meets its own religious and charitable requirements.
How does it work at Jumu'ah when everyone leaves together?
Place QR codes at several exits, equip volunteers with Tap to Pay and dock a Stripe S710/S700 at the main entrance, so giving is spread across many points rather than one queue. Donors can also give from the QR code after they have left, while the appeal is still in front of them.
Our venue has no reliable Wi-Fi. Will this still work?
Yes. Tap to Pay runs on the volunteer's own phone and uses its mobile signal, and QR donations happen on the donor's phone. The Stripe S710/S700 connects over Wi-Fi and keeps taking donations offline if the connection drops, sending them securely when it reconnects.
Can donors add Gift Aid?
Where a donor is eligible and your organisation can claim it, Gift Aid declarations can be captured in the giving flow on a QR code or donation page and claims submitted to HMRC through GiveTap. We will help you set the wording for each campaign.
Do donors need an app?
No. QR donations are made in the donor's browser with no download. Tap to Pay and card readers are operated by your team in the GiveTap app, and donors simply tap their card or phone.
Is this suitable during Ramadan only?
Ramadan is a peak moment, but the same QR codes, readers and campaigns support Jumu'ah and community giving all year, including recurring monthly donations where you offer them. Readers can also be hired for Ramadan only.
